Photographs from todays fashion photo shoot, with Megan. The shirt Megan's wearing in these photographs shows a shirt that I personalised for a university project, where we were asked to recreate a white shirt however we wanted. I decided to take my inspiration from Vivienne Westwood and the 70's/punk era i included safety pins on the pocket and studs on the collar, I also cut off the sleeves and changed the buttons. I think the photographs have turned out really well and I had a successful day !

Maxi Madness

Last saturday I decided to do a photo shoot with my friend Helen, to showcase my latest creation. I recently hand made this maxi skirt which is shown in the photo. I took a wide variety of photographs and felt that this was one of my favourites. The setting is very unusual for a high end fashion photograph but i thought it would be good to have a contrast to enhance my maxi skirt. I am really happy with the way my maxi skirt has turned out and I think it looks really good! maxi skirts have been in fashion for a long time along with maxi dresses. I myself have 2 maxi dresses and this one skirt that i have made. Although i still wear my maxi skirt and dress they are not as common in every day wear and aren't as fashionable as they have been in the past but who's to say they wont make a come back very soon !!!

My Must Haves!

Here are my accessory must haves. On the far left are my feather earrings, i think the white feathers go perfectly with any outfit, they're really dainty and easily dress up any garments create huge wavy curls to get the best look out of these beautys ! Next to my feather earrings is my next must have, this timer necklace is from vintage cow in Nottingham, i really like the edginess that the mini timer brings to the necklace, it gives it a real punky feel to any outfit and i would recommend getting something similar to this type of jewellery as its different and unique, its on a long chain so it goes perfectly with any plain tops. Next is my Barry M silver glitter nail polish. I love this nail polish! I usually paint a plain colour and then wash it over with it, it gives a really glittery and funky  effect and it goes with any colour and spruces up any outfit. I defiantly reccomend getting a bottle as it lasts ages and gives a really cool finish to any set of nails ! Next is a necklace that i received for christmas from my friend Helen i absolutely adore this item as its on a long chain so again it can easily go with any plain tops. On the end it has a locket that opens with a picture of the mad hatter from alice in wonderland, the quirky picture really gives this item a unique style and i love wearing it with most of my outfits. This white watch which has been added with crystals gives it a glammed up effect i got this watch on a market in spain. I love this watch and it gives my outfits the geek sheek look, wear with a pair of vintage shorts, belt and a plain top for the best effect. Lastly this necklace previewed in my last post, I bought this in a small vintage shop in Nottingham and i wear it with a fair few of my outfit, pairing this accessory with the watch shown in this image as it would really make a show stopping casual day outfit !
